Paper Russells Introduces the grrreen
(tm) Line
Greeting cards printed with soy-based ink on recycled
paper.
Paper Russells Stationery and Gifts just announced its newly launched grrreen product line, which includes boxed and single note cards and magnetic notepads that are printed with soy-based ink on recycled paper. As Paper Russells owner Myunghye Kim explains, “Global warming and rampant abuse of our global resources are huge concerns to us. We fully support the “green” movement, and the “grrreen” product line is our way of offering products that address these issues.
“There’s a lot of recycled paper available,” Kim continues. “We feel great about using it. Each ton of recycled paper made from trash prevents 3.3 cubic yards of waste from going into a landfill. It also reduces greenhouse gas emissions. For example, at our first production of notepads, we have saved 10 fully grown trees, 4,453 gallons of water, 7 million BTUs of energy, 498 pounds of solid waste, and reduced 971 pounds of greenhouse gases. We were thrilled to find that a number of paper mills and card printers share our environmental concerns, and they now offer extremely high-quality products from recycled paper and soy-based ink.”
